Praise for: Brantley Gutierrez

Musicians and photography are nearly inseparable. Their momentous actions on stage could not be remembered if there weren't any people who captures their actions. By people I mean photographers. Same goes for the musicians when they're off stage. And personally, in my opinion, when you want to take a good photo of someone, you better build a relationship with them first.
There are many photographers who take photos of musicians but only one name crossed my mind. Brantley Gutierrez. He is a very well-known photographer/director who has worked with numerous musicians throughout the world. From Incubus to Bjork to Radiohead to Paul McCartney to Arcade Fire and many more to come.
He embarked on this journey while he was working with Foo Fighters on their video a few years ago. However, he encountered his first camera when he was 13 and hasn't put it down ever since. His profound works prove that he has a very good relationship with those people (red. musicians). Well at least that's what I thought because I find it very difficult to take photo of someone if I don't know him well enough hehe.

He also directs videos. This is one of them:

NB: The infos are gathered from various sources, including my conversations with him via Facebook chat (lol- I don't know if he remembers it or not, though).
